Programme Modules & Schedule

Module 1: Leading with Impact
This module aims to equip healthcare managers with essential tools to enhance staff motivation and team performance. Participants will explore key concepts of motivation, effective job design, and goal-setting techniques while learning practical strategies to inspire and manage high-performing teams in dynamic healthcare environments.

Module 2: Understanding Finance in Healthcare
This module demystifies financial management for healthcare managers, providing the knowledge and skills needed to align financial decisions with organisational KPIs. Participants will gain an understanding of key financial concepts, develop a results-driven mindset, and learn to make informed decisions that balance cost efficiency with quality care. By the end of the module, managers will be equipped to contribute effectively to their organisation’s financial sustainability.

Module 3: Value Based Excellence
This module redefines the patient experience by integrating Value-Based Service (VBS) principles with proven operational excellence models from other industries. Participants will explore how to transition from traditional transactional care to an “Experience Economy” mindset, where the delivery of high-quality clinical outcomes is inseparable from the quality of service interactions. Leaders will learn to apply key concepts to create a culture where service is treated as a clinical priority.

Module 4: Managing Growth
This module equips healthcare managers with the tools and strategies to manage organisational growth effectively. Participants will explore the dynamics of scaling operations, aligning growth strategies with organisational goals, and navigating challenges such as resource allocation and workforce expansion. Through real-world examples and actionable insights, managers will learn to lead sustainable growth initiatives that drive long-term success.

Module 5: Competing in Healthcare
This module equips healthcare managers with the skills to analyse competition, develop effective strategies, and position their organisations for success in a dynamic market. Participants will explore marketing principles, competitive analysis techniques, and strategic planning tailored to the healthcare industry. Through practical tools and case studies, managers will learn to differentiate their services and build sustainable competitive advantages.

Module 6: AI Governance & Risk Management
As healthcare systems increasingly adopt artificial intelligence and digital health solutions, the landscape of hospital risk has fundamentally shifted. The AI Governance and Risk Management module evolves beyond traditional enterprise risk paradigms to address the complex ethical, legal, and operational challenges of the digital age. This module equips current and aspiring hospital leaders with the frameworks necessary to safely deploy AI technologies while maintaining robust clinical risk management, ensuring patient safety, data integrity, and regulatory compliance.

Cancellation Policy
  1. Any cancellation of registration must be made in writing to the Secretariat of Professional Certificate in Hospital Management.
  2. A full refund of the registration fee for cancellations made at least 60 days before the course commencement.
  3. A 50% refund of the registration fee for cancellations made up to 30 days before the course commencement.
  4. A 30% refund of the registration fee for cancellations made up to 14 days before the course commencement.
  5. No refund of the registration fee for cancellations made within 14 days before the course commencement.
Declaration and Authorisation
  1. I confirm that the above information is correct and I will inform IMU when there is any change to this information.
